Similar to gold foil stamping used in bookbinding, this foil is applied to the product by pressing. As an advantage, it cannot be separated from the surface of the product and its application is very quick. As a disadvantage, only large quantities can be manufactured. A special area of use is thermal paper with a hologram strip, for printers. Parking tickets and travel cards are an example of this.
